I’m a lifelong musician, and after completing two degrees in music performance and a brief career as a semi-professional orchestral musician (I play the french horn), I pivoted to world arts. It’s a long story of how I got there, but the short version is that I had the opportunity to go to Indonesia, where in a remote village I encountered people worshipping the same God as me, but in a different language and a completely foreign musical style—and it got me thinking.
I lived and served with Wycliffe and SIL in Indonesia with my wife and 4 kids for 17 years before returning to the Houston area to continue our ministry from a more central location, and in a global role.
More recently I completed a Ph.D in World Arts at Dallas International University to better equip me for consulting and training, and to process my years of field experience.
